After spending last summer peeking into the forgotten corners of Echo Park and Macarthur Park, among other neighborhoods, the Architecture + Design Museum’s Urban Hikes series is back.

Guide Mike Sonksen, a third-generation Angeleno who calls himself “Mike the Poet,” will take groups of hikers on four walks, beginning with a spin through Chinatown’s historic buildings and art galleries on June 26 at 11 am. Tours of Highland Park (July 17), West Adams (July 24) and the L.A. River (August 7) will follow. Single tickets are $20, with discounts for museum members and for a package deal of all four hikes, each of which lasts between an hour and 90 minutes.
