Tony nominations 2011: An interactive guide

May 16, 2011 |  6:31 am

The biggest night on Broadway -- the Tony Awards -- will take place June 12 at the Beacon Theatre in New York. CBS will air the ceremony live, with a delay for the West Coast. To help bring you up to speed on the main contenders, Culture Monster has created an interactive guide to this year's nominations.

The musical front-runner is "The Book of Mormon," the cheerfully irreverent musical by Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Robert Lopez that earned 14 nominations. The play category is a harder call, but David Lindsay-Abaire's "Good People" is looking like a safe bet, though it has tough competition from "War Horse."

Check out our guide, the Tony Awards Cheat Sheet, for an at-a-glance look at this year's contenders and Times reviews of the top nominees. Then click over to our play-at-home Tonys ballot to make your predictions and share them with friends.
