The Los Angeles Master Chorale will be teaming up with classical-music radio station KUSC-FM (91.5) in a broadcasting partnership in which 14 of the choir’s Walt Disney Concert Hall concerts from the 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons will be aired in two seven-week series.

‘The L.A. Master Chorale in Concert’ is set to launch Dec. 19 with a broadcast of the group’s holiday concert from last season, featuring ‘Midnight Mass for Christmas Eve,’ a French Baroque work by Marc-Antoine Charpentier.

The series consists of a two-hour weekly radio program, which runs Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. The first series will run through Jan. 30; the second series is set to run from Dec. 18, 2011 through Jan. 29, 2012. Grant Gershon, the music director of the Chorale, selected the slate of concerts to be featured on the show.

KUSC currently broadcasts performances and other programs from a few other prominent local music groups including the L.A. Opera, the L.A. Chamber Orchestra and the USC Thornton School of Music.
