Broadway’s loss is Orange County’s gain.

Megan Mullally withdrew last month from the Broadway production of Terrence McNally’s ‘Lips Together, Teeth Apart.’ Now the Emmy-winning actress is scheduled to make an appearance this fall at the Orange County Performing Arts Center as part of its cabaret series.

Mullally is scheduled to perform Oct. 7-10 at the Samueli Theater in the opening engagement of the 2010-2011 cabaret season at OCPAC. The ‘Will & Grace’ actress previously appeared in the cabaret series in 2006 at the Founders Hall.

Tony-winner Idina Menzel will star in a one-night engagement at Segerstrom Hall on Nov. 7. The ‘Wicked’ actress will perform a mix of classic pop, show tunes and songs from her album “I Stand,” accompanied by a full orchestra.

‘Broadway Up Close and Personal: A Tribute to Cy Coleman’ will run Dec. 9-12 in the Samueli. The revue will feature Tony winner Lillias White performing songs by the legendary show-tune composer.

Sutton Foster, who won a Tony in 2002 for ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie,’ will make her OCPAC debut on Feb. 17-20, 2011 at the Samueli.

Opera baritone Nathan Gunn will appear in the series from March 24 to 27, 2011, at the Samueli. The barihunk will perform songs ranging from the Great American Songbook as well as pieces by contemporary composers.
