One of artist Shepard Fairey’s next projects could be a portrait of you.

The Los Angeles street artist -- who has created the likenesses of Barack Obama and Stephen Colbert, as well as numerous works of poster art -- is auctioning off a portrait sitting on the site Charitybuzz.com. Proceeds from the auction will go to benefit The Art of Elysium, a nonprofit organization that encourages actors and artists to donate their time to children battling serious medical conditions.

People can bid on the sitting through March 4. The sitting will take place during July and August at both parties’ convenience, according to the auction site.

As of Wednesday evening, the current bid for the Fairey portrait sitting was $4,250. The bidding increment is $250.

Fairey is also auctioning off a mixed-media on canvas work titled ‘Burmese Monk’ on the same site,.

In January, Fairey was the year’s ‘visionary’ at the Art of Elysium’s ‘Heaven’ charity gala party that took place beside the Beverly Hilton. As was reported in The Times, he covered garage walls with graphic murals that included children’s artwork and a photo of David Bowie, Iggy Pop and Lou Reed.

Fairey, who is embroiled in a fair-use legal battle with the Associated Press, has been keeping an active schedule in recent months, including spinning at his Echo Park gallery and designing the Colbert portrait in connection with the Vancouver Olympic Games.

He recently appeared at the Contemporary Arts Center Cincinnati, where his solo show ‘Supply and Demand’ opened Saturday.
