Brian Peter George St. John le Baptiste de la Salle Eno, otherwise known as Brian Eno, may be the closet thing to a Renaissance Man that the Rock ‘n’ Roll era has produced.

The former Roxy Music keyboardist has long been regarded as one of the most innovative and influential of rock producers through his collaborations with U2, Coldplay and many other bands. He’s also been a pioneer in fusing electronic music with visual technology.

Eno’s singular artistry will be on view this fall at CSULB, in the installation ‘’77 Million Paintings.’ It primarily consists of a wall of 12 computer-operated monitors of varying dimensions, displaying a procession of constantly mutating images that group and regroup into a virtually limitless series of configurations. The protean ‘paintings’ are accompanied by Eno’s ambient original score.

Eno compares the overall effect to looking at stained glass windows in a medieval church, and invites viewers to linger and surrender to the experience. Read more about Eno’s latest entry into the realm of the senses.
