Updated: Getty Center closed, evacuated as firefighters battle blaze

The Getty Center has sent out a release saying that the museum is closed due to the nearby brush fire. LAPD and LAFD are on site, and visitors and staff are being evacuated. There’s no immediate danger to the Getty Center, its grounds or collections, or anyone on site. The Getty Center will remain closed until further notice. The Getty Villa is unaffected.
