Who are these people?

At Tuesday’s Chateau Marmont announcement of the Getty Foundation’s $2.8-million funding of a series of exhibitions about L.A.’s art history, Michael Govan, director of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, mentioned something interesting. The most requested exhibition catalog in LACMA’s history is the one for ‘Art and Technology,’ a controversial four-year project (1967-1971) that paired artists with Southern California industries to execute experimental works of art. The book has long been out of print -- but as of this week, it’s available online.
