Doesn’t everyone know that downtown belongs to the Trojans during the college football season?Apparently not. On the eve of the season’s first USC home game — they play Ohio State tonight at 5 p.m. — the USC Fisher Museum of Art issued a word of warning to visitors: Parking could be a nightmare. Between construction on campus and on nearby Exposition Boulevard, and the legion of USC football fans, parking spaces could be hard to come by. From the museum’s announcement:

‘We recommend that people interested in visiting our museum park in Exposition Park across the street from USC at Exposition and Menlo Ave. by the Natural History Museum. The parking rate for this lot is $6 unless there is a USC Football game and on these days prices will vary.’

One glimmer of hope: Many of USC’s home games are a 5 p.m. start this season, while the museum at 823 Exposition Blvd. is open from noon to 5 p.m.

So, that means you could arrive really early, get a great parking space, make a round of the museum — and still make the game.
