Los Angeles artist Shepard Fairey’s campaign poster for Barack Obama is so ubiquitous that it’s easy to believe that this is the real Obama, and the one you see on TV and in newspaper photographs is the fake.

It’s a little easier to put the reality in perspective in this shot of Fairey with a giant version of the poster, in which the Democratic nominee’s head appears even bigger than the GOP thinks it is.

But if you can’t get enough of Fairey, the artist will be on hand to sign copies of his new, politically-charged book ‘E Pluribus Venom,’ from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at East Hollywood’s La Luz de Jesus.
