Five Republican lawmakers who have been excoriated by a pair of Los Angeles radio hosts are trying to cash in on their new-found infamy.

Radio personalities John and Ken, whose show originates on KFI-AM (740), put the lawmakers’ ‘heads on a stick’ for breaking with their anti-tax orthodoxy. But next week, the five -- Sens. Anthony Cannella (R-Ceres) and Tom Berryhill (R-Modesto) and Assemblymen Paul Cook (R-Yucaipa), Bill Berryhill (R-Stockton) and Katcho Achadjian (R-San Luis Obispo) -- are inviting supporters to a $1,000-a-plate fundraiser at Morton’s Steakhouse in Sacramento. The event is billed as “Leaders on a Stick.”

The invitiation promises that “hors d’oeuvres, dessert and beverages on sticks will be served.”
