December 3, 2010 |  5:04 pm

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed his own advisor on judicial appointments, Sharon Majors-Lewis, to a judgeship of her own in San Diego County Superior Court on Friday.

The appointment of Majors-Lewis, who will earn $178,789 as a judge, marks the second time in as many weeks that Schwarzenegger has tapped one of his own advisors to a spot in the judiciary. She was also a former chief deputy district attorney in San Diego County.

On Nov. 23, Schwarzenegger appointed his legal affairs secretary, Andrea Hoch, to the 3rd District Court of Appeal. The position will pay Hoch a salary of $204,599.
