Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to ‘The Tonight Show’ with Jay Leno on Monday, the site of his famous announcement more than seven years ago that he would run for governor.

The governor has enjoyed chatting with Leno ever since, including occasionally making news. In 2009, he announced on the program that he would appoint Republican Abel Maldonado as lieutenant governor. On Tuesday, California voters opted against giving Maldonado a full term, choosing Democratic San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom as the next lieutenant governor.
