A new Los Angeles Times/USC poll shows the marijuana legalization measure, Proposition 19, trailing badly less than two weeks before election day.

Meg Whitman says Jerry Brown has been lying to Latinos about her record.

Jerry Brown is on a tour of college campuses trying to introduce himself to younger voters. Brown will be on USC’s campus with President Obama on Friday while Whitman will join fellow billionaire Michael R. Bloomberg at an event in San Jose.

Spending reports released Thursday show Whitman has spent $163 million on the governor’s race, while Brown’s spending topped $25 million.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said he would probably write ‘a book or two’ after leaving office next year.

State Sen. Jenny Oropeza (D-Long Beach) died at the age of 53 after a long bout with cancer.
