Anti-Whitman groups puts out a casting call

October 21, 2010 |  4:00 pm

Apologies to all Meg Whitman wanna-bes: We got the goods on this casting call a bit late. But we still thought it was worth sharing with our loyal readers.

Filming was scheduled Thursday afternoon on a project that included a Meg Whitman look-alike "for a short (satirical) theatrical presentation preceding the premiere of our new political short video, entitled 'California Is Not For Sale!'"

That's the same title as an anti-Whitman short cut by Democrat Robert Greenwald.

But a couple of things caught our eye. First was the "no union affiliation" tag on the casting call, though members of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists union are "preferred." But then there was the description of the actress they want to play Whitman: Male or Female / Caucasian / 35-60 / 5'0" - 6'2" / Caucasian -Meg Whitman look-alike! -Elitist / Out-of-touch / Insincere / Brash -We are looking for someone who can satirize Meg Whitman and add their own dramatic flair.

"Dressing up in drag and/or a wig is more than welcome.

"Wardrobe: -Woman's business suit. Blonde wig if necessary. Tiara.

"Rate: Pay is Negotiable"
