Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger turned 63 Friday, and he is scheduled to spend part of his birthday speaking to the exclusive Bohemian Club, the annual all-male gathering of some of America’s most powerful and wealthy in the woods near Russian River.

Schwarzenegger will be making a roughly half-hour speech, his spokesman, Aaron McLear, confirmed Friday. Club events are not open to the public. “He’s been invited several times over the years by several different members,” McLear said.

Afterward, the governor will fly to Southern California to check on efforts to fight the fires burning in northern Los Angeles County, McLear said.
