City managers want salary reform in wake of Bell scandal

In the wake of revelations of unusually high salaries in the city of Bell, city managers gathered in Sacramento on Thursday to discuss possible changes to the way local administrators are compensated.

Patrick McGreevy reports that the League of California Cities is working with state legislators to draft a change in state law that would require salaries of highly compensated city, county and state managers to be made easily accessible to the public, possibly by posting them on a website.
