California still hearts Obama
The Democrats' majority in the House of Representatives is said to be in jeopardy this fall.
The president's approval ratings are in steady decline. But in California, at least, President Obama's popularity remains intact.
That's according a new survey from the Field Poll, which finds 54% of Californians still have a positive view of the job Obama is doing. But some of those same people believe the country is on the wrong track.
The survey found 53% of those asked said the nation is headed in the wrong direction. The president received mixed reviews for his handling of both the economy and the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. You can download the full survey here.
