It’s going to be a busy week for Meg Whitman, who is hoping to cash in some old chits on the campaign trail. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will be on hand for four fundraisers for the Republican gubernatorial candidate this week, and others including former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) are also expected to lend a hand.

Romney and Rice will appear at a Whitman event in Irvine on Wednesday. Whitman will bring Romney along to a fundraising event Thursday night in Los Angeles and again in Sacramento on Friday. Friday night, Romney will join Bush and McCain at a fundraiser in Redwood City.

Whitman worked for Romney at Bain & Co. and backed his presidential bid in 2008, serving as a co-chair of his finance committee. Whitman also served as a McCain surrogate after Romney dropped out of the presidential race.
