Whitman: Brown’s style of politics ‘cynical’

GOP gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman released a statement expressing her outrage at the pitch Jerry Brown made to labor organizers on Tuesday, in which he urged them to go on the offensive and ‘attack.’

Whitman called the attorney general’s remarks ‘a troubling example of the cynical style of politics that helped create the terrible crisis California now faces.’

Brown supporters seemed amused by camp Whitman’s outrage. They released their own letter to the candidate herself, addressed to ‘Corporate Billionaire Meg Whitman.’ The Brown supporters called Whitman campaign claims that his pitch to unions is evidence he is coordinating an illegal fundraising effort ‘a far-fetched, paranoid, even Nixonian, conspiracy theory.’
