Libyan state television talk show host Hala Misrati, a combative Moammar Kadafi loyalist, appeared to be in the custody of rebel forces in a video posted online.
The video could not be independently verified.
"This video shows proof that Hala Misrati, a former Libyan State TV talk show host, has been found and captured by Libyan Freedom Forces," the caption says. "She will stand trial soon, inshallah [God willing], as will every other person who stood by Kadafi's side."
In the video, Misrati can be seen sitting in a corner of what appears to be a living room, badmouthing her captors. She argues repeatedly with the men, including the cameraman and a guard, even when he points an automatic rifle at her.
Rebels claimed to have captured Misrati on Monday, days after she drew international attention over the weekend when she brandished a handgun on-air during her hour-long talk show and vowed to fight off rebel attacks.
