Where Americans go, baseball is soon to follow.

And so the Seabees of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 27 have built a batting cage for Marines and sailors assigned to a forward outpost near the Iraqi border with Syria.

‘Why did we build it?’ said Petty Officer Paul Campagna, the designer. ‘Because we love baseball and there was no batting cage here.’
