The video of the year award is the equivalent to best picture at the Oscars. It’s the coolest kudo you can win at the MTV video awardsfest. Recent victors: Lady Gaga’s ‘Bad Romance’ (2010), Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)’ (2009) and Britney Spears’ ‘Piece of Me’ (2008).
