Oscar predictions from Heidi the cross-eyed opossum

‘Hollywood and the Academy Awards -- here I come!’ reads an entry at the Facebook page of Heidi, the infamous cross-eyed opossum in Germany’s Leipzig Zoo. ‘But I stay in Leipzig Zoo and the producers come to me. Great deal.’

Jimmy Kimmel plans to visit her to get her Oscar predictions for his pre-ceremony TV show on Feb. 27. He hopes she’ll prove to be as prescient as another celebrated German zoo resident -- Paul the Psychic Octopus, who called the last eight World Cup winners, then retired his crystal ball. He died soon afterward.

Heidi’s charms are apparent in the video below. It’s easy to see why she’s created such a media sensation in Germany.
