For first-time Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence, the announcements Tuesday morning were a family affair. ‘I woke up and watched it with my family and friends,’ says the 20-year-old star of ‘Winter’s Bone.’

Adding to the shock of hearing her name announced, as well as that of her costar John Hawkes, and the film itself in the best picture category, is that since playing the poverty-stricken Ozark teen, she’s been filming an ‘X-Men’ project.

‘It was really enjoyable -– we were in London -- it was just really fun. I was excited about the change. It was cool to do something so completely opposite,’ she said.

So how does it feel to be headed to the Academy Awards? ‘I’m not too nervous,’ she said. ‘I’m mostly excited. I so can’t believe it -– I keep feeling like I’m not cool enough to be invited to any of these parties.’
