Three more acts have been added to the performance lineup of the 53rd annual Grammy Awards, which will take place at the Staples Center on Feb. 13. Joining already announced performers Eminem, Arcade Fire, Cee Lo Green, Lady Gaga, Miranda Lambert and Katy Perry will be Bruno Mars, Janelle Monae and B.o.B., each of whom had breakout years in 2011.

The most surprising addition of the three is Monae, whose critically acclaimed ‘The ArchAndroid’ landed at the top of many critics’ best of the year lists, but failed to cross over into the mainstream. It’s nominated in the relatively low-profile best contemporary R&B album category.

But if she manages to replicate her blistering, career-defining performance on ‘The Late Show with David Letterman,’ what eluded her last year may arrive in the spring.

That Bruno Mars is performing is less surprising, though equally notable. His seven Grammy nominations capped a banner year; only Eminem had more nods. And B.o.B.’s massive ‘Airplanes’ was one of the biggest hits of 2011, as was ‘Nothin’ on You.’
