'Air,' Nair added to Hamptons Film Festival
Jason Reitman's "Up in the Air," which reaped considerable acclaim from critics and fans at both the Toronto and Telluride Film Festivals, has been added to the lineup for the Hamptons International Film Festival. The comedy starring George Clooney and Vera Farmiga will screen Oct. 10 as part of the fest's weeklong lineup, which runs from Oct. 8 through 12.
Also recently added to the Hamptons docket: Mira Nair will present "8," a collection of short films by herself, Gus Van Sant, Jane Campion and others, which will spotlight the millennium development goals established by the United Nations for 2015. And Jean-Marc Vallee's "The Young Victoria," with Emily Blunt (the 2005 Hamptons International Film Festival Rising Star award recipient, for those keeping score) as the iconic English queen, will be showcased on Oct. 9 and 10. A full schedule for this year can be found here.
