Women everywhere seem to be coveting Target’s latest designer collaboration Jason Wu for Target, slated for a Sunday (Feb. 5) arrival in stores and online. At the recent launch party in New York, Wu’s celebrity fans Blake Lively, Chloë Moretz, Emmy Rossum and Jamie King stepped out in Jason Wu for Target to help show off the collection.

Jamie King, who plays the tightly wound Lemon Breeland on the CW’s new ‘Hart of Dixie,’ hit the red carpet in a Jason Wu for Target long-sleeved pointelle sweater in red ($40), pleated cap-sleeved blouse in red ($27) and the pleated skirt in navy floral ($30). She styled her outfit to resemble the ensemble that appears in the collection’s lookbook, with black patent leather heels and ankle socks - it’s the school girl look, re-imagined.

King’s outfit is already on the frugal side, but if the mayhem that followed the launch of the Missoni for Target collection last September repeats itself and everything sells out, you can still achieve King’s colorful look on a budget.

Get King’s red top and cardigan effect with the T Tahari ‘Rachael’ mixed media sleeveless top from Nordstrom.com for $54.90, the Tahari by ASL blouse, sleeveless pleated keyhole scoopneck from Macys.com for $39.98, Openwork knit cardigan from Mango.com for $24.99 or the Kensie girl long sleeve cardigan from Loehmanns.com for $29.99.

For a similar pleated blue printed skirt try the Printed dip hem skirt from Topshop.com for $76 or the polka dot pleated skirt from Forever21.com for $14.80.

Accessorize with the Aldo Rushiti patent leather pointy heels from 6pm.com for $31.99 and the Black lock cross body bag from DorothyPerkins.com for $49.

These colorful, versatile pieces will have you ready for spring.

Happy shopping.
