-- London Fashion Week wrapped up Tuesday, with the last of its runway showings of fall 2012 fashion. But we thought perhaps we should revisit Monday’s showing of McQ, from Alexander McQueen, which is meant to be a more accessible version of the McQueen brand. What’s that on top of the models’ heads? Not hats. It’s their hair, wound around a doughnut shape in a style created by Redken. ‘The hairstyle for McQ’s London show was meant to be strong, forceful and structured and reaches back into the brand’s heritage, referencing its own aesthetic of beauty,” Guido, Redken creative consultant, said in a news release. The clothes were lauded by critics. [Vogue UK]
