Rose Byrne’s heavily embellished, ivory Elie Saab jumpsuit was topped off with what her hair stylist Harry Josh calls ‘ ‘70s-inspired with a modern twist. Think Michelle Pfeiffer in ‘Scarface’ meets a modern-day Anna Wintour.’

To get a bob this sleek and straight, he first sprayed Byrne’s wet hair at the roots with a volumizing spray (John Frieda Full Repair Lift Foam) for a weightless lift. ‘I needed to get a lot of lift at the roots,’ says Josh. ‘Without that, the look would just fall flat.’

Because the actress’ new haircut is so blunt, Josh had to ensure the end result be super-smooth, so he applied a small amount of John Frieda Full Repair Perfect Ends Deep Infusion to the ends.

Using a natural bristle brush, he then blow-dried the hair section by section, angling the dryer in a down to get maximum shine.

And for that final, perfect Anna Wintour bob effect, Josh put Velcro curlers into the hair so the ends would curl under slightly and the volume at the roots would stay locked in.
