Actress Kristen Stewart is having quite a moment. Her role as Bella Swan in the “Twilight” film series has put her on the cover of almost every major magazine, and she’s the envy of every Twihard engrossed in her “Are they or aren’t they dating” saga with “Twilight” costar Robert Pattinson.

She’s currently on a whirlwind media tour promoting the latest film in the series “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1,” slated for a Nov. 18 opening. Stewart has perfected the pretty-in-punk look with jewel-, sequin- and metal-embellished minis over the last year. At the 2011 People’s Choice awards she chose a gold sequin mini by Reem Acra, at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards a red mini adorned with safety pins by Balmain and at a taping for “The Tonight Show” a color-blocked blue and black Monique Lhuillier mini.

Stewart appeared in yet another mini when she was recently honored with a cement block in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Costars Pattinson and Taylor Lautner joined Stewart to immortalize their feet and hands on Hollywood Boulevard.

She wore a net overlay Marios Schwab beige cocktail dress with patent leather detail, a shorter version of the one that appeared on the spring 2012 runways, with black velvet pumps by Brian Atwood. For the ceremony she traded the pumps for a pair of black and white checkered sneakers.

It might be difficult to find a dress with net overlay in a reasonable price range, but you can get Stewart’s look in a mini with lace or mesh detailing such as the lace little black dress by eDressMe for $45 from eDressMe.com, mesh curve halter dress for $24.80 from Forever21.com or Suzi Chin for Maggy Boutique strapless lace overlay dress from Nordstrom.com for $83.90. If you’re a fan of the style but not the mini cut, get the more conservative Elementz dress from Macys.com for $29.99.

You can wear this style of dress with any black heels, but if you want to pull a sneaker switch like Stewart you can start the night in the Style & Co Diane pump for $48.30 from Macys.com, then go for the Vans checkerboard slip on in black and white for $45.

With holiday dressing just around the corner, a beige and black mini will be a versatile go-to piece for parties.

Happy shopping!
