Julianna Margulies, usually the picture of red carpet elegance, missed with a cream Armani Prive gown with a stiff bodice and transparent oval stone details. My mother compared it to the Guggenheim. Well said.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Emilio Pucci gown was a hot mess — too much going on with the baroque swirls, the transparent skirt and the open midriff. We know you have a smokin’ bod Gwyneth, we don’t need to see it all the time!

I didn’t even recognize Kristen Wiig, that’s how unlike herself she looked. And what’s festive about a brown ombre gown? She should be putting herself forth like the movie star she is -- as of this summer. Zac Posen strikes again.

Julianne Hough’s Carolina Herrera resembled an Ace bandage, and Zooey Deschanel was a bit too ‘Pretty In Pink’ prom in her Monique Lhuillier. It was like something she’d wear on a promo for her new show, ‘New Girl.’

At first glance, I thought Heidi Klum’s Christian Siriano pouf ball dress was going to be a catastrophe. But once I got a better look, the short, uneven hem and explosion of ruffles were fun.
