-- Count London Fashion Week as a victim of Hurricane Irene, says the Telegraph, which is reporting that thanks to the recent inclement weather -- and earthquake -- in New York City, Marc Jacobs’ New York Fashion Week runway show has been moved from a Sept. 12 time slot to Sept. 15. With London’s slate of runway shows starting the very next morning, it’ll be a challenge for the bulk of the fashion flock to wing it across the pond in time. (Oh, how we’d love to see how things unfold on that trans-Atlantic flight.) [Telegraph]

-- The Telegraph is also reporting that the ‘Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty,’ retrospective of the late designer’s career may also be headed across the pond to London, though nothing has been finalized. (We just hope it’s not on the same fashion flight as those trying to make it from NYFW to London Fashion Week.) [Telegraph]

-- Comedian, actor and host of NBC’s ‘It’s Worth What?’ Cedric the Entertainer is getting his head in the game -- the hat game that is. Last month, the declarative-sentence-challenged funny man launched a line of high-end headgear called Who Ced? with business partner Gary Garner. We have a question for him: If this side business really takes off, are you going to legally change your name to Cedric the Milliner? [All The Rage]

-- Winged buffaloes be damned, Jessica Simpson’s vast fashion branding empire is about to expand even further, according to a report in fashion industry trade paper WWD, which is reporting that the singer is adding a 22nd retail category to her portfolio with the Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend fine jewelry collection, which will be sold exclusively at Zales starting in October.
