Robert Graham USB cuff links keep 4 GB of memory close at hand

While suggesting a pair of cuff links as a Father’s Day gift is nearly as cliche as suggesting a necktie, I’m making an exception for the riot of wrist color currently on offer by Robert Graham.

I’m not talking about the surfboard shapes, the hand-painted coins or the geometric designs inspired by cathedral domes (though they’d all certainly be appropriate-enough gifts for the cuff link connoisseur in your life) but the selection of barely-bigger-than-a-postage-stamp rectangles faced with bright, hand-painted enamel designs that include leaves, paisley patterns and rainbows.

That’s because each cuff link houses a 2-gigabyte USB flash drive -- that’s 4 gigs of stylish storage -- enough to hold approximately 1,000 to 1,200 songs (depending on how they’re encoded).

The cuff links retail for $228 and can be purchased locally at the Robert Graham store (the brand’s first) which opened last Fall at 1326 Abbot Kinney Blvd. in Venice.

And, if you do decide to score a pair of the USB flash drive cuff links for your dapper dad, why not go the extra mile and load them up with family photos, songs, favorite recipes, scanned pdfs of childhood art along with a DIY Father’s Day card?

That way dad will always have the whole family close at hand.

Make that wrist.
