Walk the Row with Mary-Kate and Ashley for a good cause

If you’re a fan of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and/or their clothing line, you’re advised to whip out your checkbook and check out the Friends of West Hollywood Elementary silent auction on Saturday.
That’s because one of the items up for bid is a private preview of the Row’s fall and winter 2011 collection -- hosted by the actresses-turned-fashion-moguls themselves. We’re told that the package includes not only a personal presentation of the collection, but a chance to discuss the inspiration behind it -- and to pre-order whatever your heart desires at a 60% discount.
There are a few catches -- said fashion adventure will need to take place at the Row’s New York City showroom on either June 16 or 17, and the package does not include travel or accommodations -- but the upside is that 100% of the winning bid will go to the Friends of West Hollywood Elementary to fund the school’s physical education program.
The fashion-forward excursion is just one of about 400 items up for bid from restaurants, boutiques, spas and luxury hotels at the Friends of West Hollywood Elementary’s 4th Annual Martini Mixer and Silent Auction, which will take place from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Phyllis Morris showroom, 655 N. Robertson Blvd.
Tickets are $50 in advance, $75 at the door and pre-registration (to avoid the Saturday morning lines) will take place May 5 and 6 from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the front lobby of the school at 970 N. Hammond Street, West Hollywood.
Among the other notable auction items are VIP tickets to ‘American Idol’ (which includes face time with Ryan Seacrest), VIP tickets to the ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show,’ and a year’s worth of valet parking at the Grove.
