It takes a very special bag to survive the heat, sweat and dirt — not to mention the fashion critics — of Coachella, the music festival to be held Friday through Sunday in Indio.

Which is why we’re loving the tie-dyed drawstring sacks L.A. brand Hammitt has created as a special Coachella capsule collection.

The $325 leather shoulder bags, which come in Rasta-inspired hues and a more sedate brown-and-gray palette, feature hippie-chic fringe pulls and long, narrow straps perfect for hoisting the bag over your back when you’re trekking through acres of barren (and we mean bone-dry) fields.

The bag’s interior is roomy enough for a sweater (night comes quickly in the desert and, with it, plunging temps), a water bottle, a wallet and a vat of sunscreen. There’s also a single zippered pocket for keys and that all-important lip gloss.

Pair either bag with cut-off jeans, rugged gladiator sandals and a tank top — perhaps with a men’s button-down or waistcoat thrown over? — and you’re watching Kanye in style.
