It’s raining brides and babies! In celebration of all those April showers that seem to be taking our calendars by storm, we’ve rounded up some gift ideas to give now, or stock up on for events all spring long.

Any chic bride-to-be would happily say “I do” to an Alber Elbaz design for Lanvin, and her heart is bound to race when she rips open your gift and sees the label. Maybe she can’t quite afford one of Lanvin’s swoon-worthy gowns for her big day, but she can manage to fantasize a little — starting with the miniature meringue-like frock in this elegant music box. The limited-edition accessory features a porcelain groom and bride wearing Lanvin finery and dancing to the tune of Mendelssohn’s regal “Wedding March.” Leave it to Elbaz to create something designed for brides that’s coveted even by those of us who aren’t anywhere near engaged.

Another new Lanvin design for any fashion-loving bride: the charming cards at top right feature an original Elbaz sketch. We recommend pairing them with an equally fabulous white ostrich or goose feather pen by Maison Martin Margiela. (Bridal Music Box, $170, and “Happy” Bridal Post Cards, $70 for set of six with envelopes, at www.lanvin.com or call Lanvin Beverly Hills: 310-402-0580.)
