The creators of the L.A-based website Who What Wear celebrated their second style-dedicated tome Thursday night at the newly reopened Il Sole in West Hollywood. The book, ‘What to Wear, Where,’ is a guide to what one can wear in any number of situations, from a funeral to the dog park to the opera. The authors and creators of the site, Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power model each look throughout the book, sticking to the ‘runway to real way’ mantra of their website.

“We get hundreds of questions from girls every day asking us what to wear on certain occasions,” says Power whose favorite look shown in the book was what to wear when attending the opera. “I loved the opera look,” she says. “We don’t usually get a reason to get that dressed up. I wore Oscar de la Renta.”

Along with De la Renta and plenty of vintage from the Way We Wore, each outfit was styled with the same 15 pairs of shoes from a site called Just Fabulous, a shoe subscription website on which Kerr and Power have curated a collection of shoes all for $39.95 called W3.

“They’re all really classic styles,” says Power who paired her vintage sherbet-colored striped dress with a pair of strappy nude heels from the collection. Kerr wore a pair of black peep-toe platforms with a form-fitting blue cocktail dress.

The concept isn’t dissimilar to the picks their pal and stylist Rachel Zoe does for the Piperlime website. Zoe was in tow at the dinner party, along with Jessica Alba, Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port and Kelly Osbourne.
