Gap gets its ‘Flashion’ on

Starting March 5, it’s a deal a day at the Gap (well, almost) when the retailer launches its Flashion program.

Similar to what sample sale websites like Gilt Groupe and Hautelook do, the Gap will choose one current item to sell at a discounted price and for a limited time (specifically, 10 a.m.–9 p.m. on sale day).

The first item is a dove gray soft trench from the spring line. It usually sells for $89.95; Flashion price: $50.

But unlike the sample sale sites, this offer is only good in stores and the Flashion sales don’t happen every day, more like once a week. The trench is on sale March 5. On March 11 it’s the Hillary flare jean at $45, regular price, $69.50.

And on April 7 the third sale will commence. No word on what the Flashion sale item is. Something to look forward to, I guess.
