There’s a total lunar eclipse coming Monday-Tuesday night, coinciding with the winter solstice (depending on your time zone). Not that we’ll be able to see it in Southern California, with all the rain we’re having. But at least it’s a good week to wear our little used raincoats, pull out the umbrellas and maybe buy a pair of cute all-weather boots! [Time]

Celebrity deal gone bad: Actress Zooey Deschanel filed suit last week against shoe vendor Steve Madden, claiming the company reneged on its $2-million endorsement deal. [StyleList]

Vanessa Hudgens looked good, post-split from Zac Efron, when she celebrated her 22nd birthday on Saturday in Las Vegas. She wore a very cute silver mini-bandage dress and a big smile. [People]

Head-scratcher: I’m trying to figure out what buff, bare-chested men, women in skimpy outfits, a guy in a shark costume, instructions to ‘make out with somebody tonight’ and -- strangest of all -- a peep show involving nude interns and copying machines has to do with celebrating the holidays. It was all part of a holiday fest thrown by the Chandelier Creative agency in New York. Proceeds from an auction and the peep show went to benefit the New Museum. A good time was had by all, I guess. Or maybe it was another sign of the end of civilization as we know it. [WWD]

We seem to be fascinated by androgyny, and so 19-year-old Serbian-Australian model Andrej Pejic is on a roll. His long platinum locks and delicate features have won him spreads in French and Italian Vogue, and ad campaigns for Jean Paul Gaultier and Marc by Marc Jacobs. [WWD]
