Beauty comes from within ... unless you’re in Victoria’s Secret, of course

Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge and Candice Swanepoel advised die-hard Victoria’s Secret fans that “sexy” comes from within during Tuesday’s appearance at the Grove in Los Angeles, where they launched the newest of the Victoria’s Secret Beauty fragrances, Bombshell.

The candy-striped-corset-clad threesome signed autographs, and Lima shared her secret to sexiness, “Embrace yourself,” she said. “Enjoy yourself no matter what, if you’re funny or clumsy, just embrace it, and enjoy it. Beauty, sexiness and confidence come from the inside.”

Even so, shoppers were there looking for all the things that go on their outsides, and it wasn’t all about lingerie. Ana Ochoa, a 25-year-old photographer, said she was there to shop and see Lima. “I love her. She’s the perfect mix of pretty, cute and gorgeous.” She said her budget was around $100, but if she could, she would spend more. “Everything I have on right now underneath is Victoria’s Secret.”

Shannon Pearson, 34, was there to support the only store that carries the perfect fit for her size 11 feet. “I love shopping for shoes in their catalog,” she said. “Size 11 girls rock too.”

Lima stressed that the new fragrance is “sophisticated and glamorous.” When asked if she would let her daughter wear it when she came of age, she said, in true mommy mode, “I want whatever makes her happy.”
