There’s no denying that ‘Glee,’ the TV musical comedy chronicling the growing pains of a high school glee club, had us at ‘hello.’ But we’re not sure we’re ready to wear our fan-dom on our chests.

But Macy’s and Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products are betting there are ‘Gleeks’ out there far more rabid. The two companies recently announced a ‘Glee’ apparel line, launched Sunday at all Macy’s stores.

The collection of T-shirts, tops and hoodies, priced from $19.99 to $34.99, is manufactured by Awake Inc., the company that created a line of high-end ‘Twilight’-themed tees for Kitson in 2009.

The graphic tops are emblazoned with the ‘Glee’ logo, but they also boast familiar show catchphrases, including, ‘Music is my life’ and ‘Don’t stop believing’ (the name of the show’s unofficial theme song).

Colorful and, well, kind of cool, the line is geared toward teens, but we foresee a few hardcore 40-something Gleeks getting in on the action (though Sue Sylvester would never approve). Nevertheless, the tops will be sold in the junior’s section of Macy’s and will be featured prominently in the department store’s back-to-school ads.
