Elie Tahari opens its 2,500-square-foot boutique at Fashion Island -- the first freestanding store in California. The Newport Beach shop will stock the largest selection of Elie Tahari affordable luxury fashions for men, women and children outside of New York, spread out over. Piero Lissoni, an Italian architect and interior designer, complemented the boutique’s glass-and-steel facade frame and Venetian plaster walls with an Edward Wormley Dunbar sofa and Hans Wegner cane chairs. “Southern California attracts people from all over the world, so we are excited to introduce the Elie Tahari lifestyle to this area,” said Elie Tahari, the brand’s chairman. Prices range from $198 to $348 for current season women’s dresses.
