There’s no excuse not to say ‘thank you’ for those holiday presents

I am a stickler for saying “thank you” by sending a personal, handwritten note to the host of a dinner party at which I was a guest or to someone who gave me a nice holiday gift. I admit I can be a little bit of a nag about it to friends and family who have resorted to sending a text full of misspellings and shortcuts when thanking someone. So discovering the online invitation and note sending service of cocodot.com is a nice compromise for people who like the stylish and personal look of stationery, yet the ease and accessibility of technology.

Launched two months ago by a group of friends who are also seasoned veterans of the design and fashion world, the L.A.-based company lets you custom design your own invitations, social stationery and notes – soon to come, wedding invitations. If you don’t want to start from scratch, they have plenty of templates that are so stylish and much more appealing than the usual Evite fare.

You’ll need a subscription to start sending cocodot e-notes and e-cards, but considering the cost of a stamp, beautiful stationery and painful shift from keyboard to the unfamiliar pen and paper; it might be well worth it. Especially if you’re already behind on those holiday thank you notes.
