The reverse mullet that spawned a million Halloween costumes is no longer. Hairstylist Ted Gibson has given Kate Gosselin some serious extensions, transforming her look from short and asymmetrical to long and pop star-esque.
Kate graces the cover of this week’s People magazine, showing off her lengthy new locks and talking about her new single life.

“Her old hairstyle represented the old Kate,” said Gibson, who bonded blond extensions into Gosselin’s head in a process that took over 15 hours. “This is a new Kate moving forward in her new life, new identity and new philosophy on life.”
Gibson reversed Gosselin’s previous style and added length to the back, rather than that flappy bang that fell over one eye. “I gave her a different look with extensions, and now her hair is shorter in front and longer in back, so it adds a lot of sexiness.”

Indeed. Her hair and overall look is much better, but if you remember correctly, it was her ex-husband, Jon, who got hair “extensions” first. Though, Kate’s look better and far more natural.
