Designer vintage shop Decades and its sibling store, designer resale outpost DecadesTwo, are holding one-day sales this Saturday, offering 25% off clothes, handbags and accessories.

DecadesTwo is famous for its juicy sales, but this is a rare discounted day for Decades, the Melrose Avenue shop owned by Cameron Silver that specializes in old-school designer vintage apparel and accessories, with an emphasis on haute couture. The upstairs outpost is a favorite among stylists and international clothing collectors (Rachel Zoe famously splurged on a classic Hermes Birkin at Decades on an episode of her reality show, ‘The Rachel Zoe Project.’)

Although DecadesTwo is offering 25% off everything, Silver has marked down specific items at Decades. Showstopping pieces set to be marked down include an ‘80s Yves Saint Laurent haute couture red crepe gown; an ‘80s Valentino white sheath gown with embroidered box back; a ‘60s Hermes Sport suede trench coat; and an ‘80s quilted bag and (pictured) bracelets from Chanel.

Definitely going? The stores’ sales often lure fashion fans in droves, so I recommend grabbing a latte and heading there around 10 a.m. The sale (and store) hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., but why risk losing that discounted Kelly bag to a more tenacious collector? But if you’re not up for the melee, shop the sale at Decadesinc.blogspot.com.
Decades, 8214 1/2 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, (323) 655-0223.
