Jason Schwartzman is back with the Band (of Outsiders) for fall

Band of Outsiders’ designer Scott Sternberg (who recently tied with Calvin Klein’s Italo Zucchelli as the CFDA’s menswear designer of the year) should have gotten an honorable mention for his celebrity wrangling skills too.

For his look book shots (which he photographs himself with a Polaroid camera) he’s got a knack for pouring big names into the smallish pieces that make up his collection; most notably Kirsten Dunst, Marisa Tomei and Sarah Silverman for his Boy by Band of Outsiders women’s line.

Now, Jason Schwartzman, who posed for the Holiday 2007 campaign, is back kitted out in the Fall 2009 collection,He is pictured goofing around on Chung King Road in L.A.’s Chinatown, a location that is no doubt a nod to Sternberg’s inspiration for the season -- the 1967 Jean-Luc Godard film La Chinoise.

Local retailers carrying Band’s wares include Finery at Fred Segal Santa Monica, Apartment Number 9, Opening Ceremony and Ron Herman.
