Does the Bluetooth dress signal the future of fashion?

When it comes to designing stylish smart phones, Sony Ericsson has the mobile market cornered. Just look at the company’s gorgeous iida G9. The fashion-minded folks at the company don’t stop there, though. They recently teamed up with London College of Fashion to see which of its students could design the most innovative digital clothing design. The winner, Georgie Davies, 20, came up with a cocktail dress that’s wired with Bluetooth technology, allowing the garment to light up when the wearer gets an incoming call. Davies’ concept was tailored around not being able to hear her phone ring at a bar or club, but the butterfly-inspired design might make this dress a better fit for a rave. The dress is still a prototype, so for now you’ll have to go on setting your phone to vibrate so that you can feel an incoming call when you’re in a noisy venue. Now about getting a Robo-Chef to cook me pancakes for breakfast…
