Prive salon has an ‘Interview Prep Package’ for the many people who are recently unemployed and back on the job hunt. For $95 the salon is offering a haircut, blowout and a choice of eyebrow shaping or manicure. Color treatments are 20% off if you say the phrase ‘color me pretty’ when plunking down into the salon chair. The magic-word gimmick seems slightly humiliating, but in this economy, I might overlook that to save a few bucks.

The package doesn’t stop with just beauty treatments. Prive has a job placement specialist on hand to review clients’ resumes. Anyone who books the ‘Interview Prep Package’ and sends their resume to privesalons@foxgreenberg.com will have their resume reviewed by the specialist who will try to find them job matches.

Some chin-grazing layers, shapely eyebrows and a potential job? Talk about one-stop recession shopping.
