Celtics fans, unable to think for themselves, turn to L.A. Times

Google Hot Trends showed a definite spike this morning in searches for "la times" and "la newspapers" -- in both cases, the highest search concentration came from Boston. I find it amusing that these Bostonians, as much as they pride themselves on independent thought, were scrambling to see what we here in L.A. had to say about this less-than-impressive win.
Perhaps all the gloating in their hometown newspapers wasn't enough, and they needed to rely on their rival town to help puff up their still-wounded sports egos?
It also tickles me that more than a few Beantowners couldn't remember the names of either this publication or those of our regional compatriots, so they settled for searching "L.A. newspapers," hoping it would jog their victory-shortened memories.
Here's a Google search you might start trying, yanks: Bynum 2009.

Wow, if this isn't one of the most bitter and immature articles I've ever read. You write like an angry, vengeful 10 year old girl on PMS.
Do you want to know why all of those Bostonians searched your newspapers? They wanted to know how someone would react after seeing their own people completely massacred and humiliated on national television in one of the greates routes of NBA history. That's why. I'd say its just curiosity. Besides, it doesn't take that much "independent thought" to see that the Lakers were mowed over like dead grass.
And this?

Good lord man, stop writing online (or anywhere) for that matter. You're just making the good people of LA look stupid.

Dear What??: Wow, looks like I hit a nerve! I assure you, however, that I was just poking fun. After our ignominious defeat, we Laker fans have few options left in terms of ridiculing our archrivals. So, as I said: see you next year.

Knucklehead....Less than impressive blog.

Haha, the only nerve you hit is the one I have for immature adults. Poking fun at a team is one thing, poking fun at fans is another.
To be honest though, I think you should thank them for showing the NBA what a good, well rounded game of basketball looks like. A lot of people became dissilusioned with the NBA after Jordan and the Bulls. I've loved the NBA my whole life, but I was one of those people, and I can tell you, I haven't felt such pride in a long time. Not pride in watching the Lakers fail, but pride in seeing such a perfect game of team ball.
The only other nerve you could hit would be in the fact that I'm from Portland, and you guys in the past few years have beaten us over and over again.
Just giving credit where it is due ;)

When did so many Bostonian's move to LA? that's the bigger story. If we're lucky the sucess of the Sox, Pat's and now the Celtics might convince a few of em to move back home.
As for the commentators above;
Boston will be celebrating this Victory for the better part of a year if we're lucky, cant we Angeleno's get at least get 24 hours to gripe without hearing about it?

"Less-than-impressive"
Funny how you say that when LA got owned by Boston. You may continue to express your opinion in this article but that doesn't change the fact that Boston still owns LA. And yeah, we like to gloat about our win. What are YOU gonna do about it?

I'm not too surprised. Boston is among the most provincial towns in the country. They possibly surpass Portland in this regard.

Hey, Mr. "LA got owned by Boston"! What you gonna do next January when the Celtics are fat off their title, mired in a 5 game losing streak, while your buns froze together because it's -12 out?

Ooooh, look at me. I'm from LA. I'm a big deal. Hey everybody, come look at how important I am.
